1. Thank you Packers...for covering the spread |
|
If the Jets can keep within 3 and Indy within 10, I'm taking the pool.
So far I've got 10 wins, 4 losses and 2 to go. Come on Jets/Colts. Daddy needs a few bucks.

2. Argh. The Broncos suck. |
|
They have flashes that inspire moments of hope, but rarely fail to douse it quickly.
The Packers, on the other hand, are good. :toast:

6. I was impressed by the two 2nd quarter drives |
|
After they were down 21-3 they fought back with a quick scoring drive; followed by holding the Packers to a 3-and-out; followed by a nice fiveish-minute drive to make it a game again. The fourth down stop on the Pack's first drive is something we haven't seen from the defense in a while. And overall Von Miller and McGahee looked pretty good.
But overall they're just not a good team. Not that I expected much this year, though. Phil Simms was saying in the broadcast that he's sure the overhaul of talent and scheme will eventually be successful under John Fox. I'm not optimistic. I thought it was an odd hire. I hope he proves me wrong, but it definitely won't be this year ;).
