So, what are you going to do for Halloween? Any good ideas for warm costumes? |
|
:hi:
My husband loves Halloween and we've never done anything for the holiday before; this year I'm trying to get into the spirit (ha ha) of things but I dread being cold and so want a good (but warm) costume that isn't a standard witch or ghost affair.
No trick-or-treaters come by our house; we're very rural, no sidewalks or streetlamps. So we have to go out in search of events, rather than have the festivities come by the house.
What are you guys doing?

2. are you making your costume? Buying parts of it? |
|
I don't know who that is, but looks like it'll be a good costume...

3. Every Halloween, I don't dress up and then I say my costume is |
|
"Apathy."
I have often thought of dressing in bubble wrap and, when asked "What are you?", answering "Fragile."

:D
I've been apathetic for years - I love the holiday but never got dressed up - but my husband has been so bummed that we haven't done anything, that I have resolved this year to TRY VERY HARD to do something. Bummer that this year it's on a Monday.

6. Hope you find something fun for hubby, |
|
I know that people who love Halloween REALLY love it.
Maybe see if a restaurant or bar in your area is having an event? Might be on the Saturday before, if so.

7. several of the local events have already passed (the ones for |
|
adults - we don't have kids). But we live about an hour from DC and I'm thinking we might go to the Drag Queen Race this Tuesday (it's always the Tuesday before Halloween). I went once when I was interning in DC and it was fun. A nice, lively, convivial mood among the crowd.

8. This year my partner and I are hosting the 21st annual neighborhood Halloween party...(adults only) |
|
Five women are in charge of decorating, food etc and the rest of us are fixing up the garden. Gonna be a blast.
I've been obsessively reading about ancient Rome for the last year so we decided to be Romans. My guy will be "Gluteus Maximus" (toga with a big butt) and I will be "Julius Cheeser" (toga with a Green Bay {Packers cheesehead). I can't wait.
