What people believe the term means is obvious - older women who are still deemed to be attractive enough for someone younger to want to fuck. As if such women should feel privileged that some 20-something obnoxious brat takes a sexual interest in them. I've been on the receiving end of that attitude many times and it IS fucking insulting not just to be labeled with the term but that the prevailing attitude of those that use it is that what it is. Being a male I wouldn't expect that you would find it offensive... after all it's hardly ever going to be you on the receiving end of the label, is it? What MEN find acceptable terms to label women with whatever their claimed intent isn't what matters... men also think terms like "babe" are intended to be a compliment after all and it is precisely what is so offensive about it... that I'm supposed to feel privileged or lucky to be labeled with such terms, and yes, I've actually had to argue with stupid obnoxious men that such terms are insulting along with the attitude behind them.
