2. Hate them, hate them, hate them! |
|
My husband just about has a fit every time he sees one of those stupid pieces of garbage on the TV.
Buy useless shiny crap dug out of the ground by child slaves or your girl won't love you and you won't be a real man! :puke:

11. I'll wear out Fast Forward....I DVR then skip the ads. Having |
|
done this so long now, to actually watch a TV program live and endure commercials has become real torture.

6. car commercials are what I hate |
|
Only a 1% would purchase a new Mercedes or Audi and park it in the driveway with a big red bow on it. That goes for Nissan and Honda too. One more thing, say you do get a car for Christmas, what the fuck do you do to top that next year?

14. me, too. Don't get me wrong, I do like to buy things I need - new shoes, or nice lotion... |
|
but I like to buy furniture I can refurbish, and I do NOT like to buy 'stuff' - trinkets, knick knacks, 'decorative elements'. If I buy it, I have to LOVE IT. And clutter drives me nuts. I don't like to shop unless I need something specific.

13. Crappy jewelry. We call it "fish gravel". |
|
When I took Diamond Grading and Colored Stone Grading from GIA (Gemological Institute of America), we called the lumps of coal they sell in the dept. stores "fish gravel". Should either be in an aquarium or die and go to heaven and come back as a grinding wheel.
SI (Slightly Imperfect) grade sounds good but it is lousy, black spots, internal fractures and all sorts of stuff.
I have been trained so I can spot the good stuff. I'm dangerous.
I like nice jewelry, but the idea that you have to spend 2 months' salary on an engagement ring, is propaganda by DeBeers, which has pretty much a monopoly on diamonds in Africa. Diamonds are not that valuable. DeBeers has been brainwashing people for decades.
Colored stones are prettier. :D
