Stop Focus on the Family

With my most recent post at Anti-CNP, I have discovered that Focus on the Family and James Dobson have the trying the most in this last week alone to remove American's Rights and Freedoms. Here is what we can all do to stop them. I think Focus on the Family is a pivotal link in the Christian Right and going after them at this time might affect them in a negative way.

1. Support Proctor & Gamble - This Company has acted against Discrimination and Dobson wants to boycott them, I think we should support them as it would make Dobson's attempts in vain and Proctor & Gamble could continue the fight against Discrimination

2. Vote against the Abstinence Education Bill in MA - Focus on the Family wants people from all over the United States to call the MA Governor to support the Bill, let's not let that happen.

3. Support Jim Wallis and the Sojourners - Focus on the Family is trying to refute the Sojourners' Claims that God is not a Republican. I think they have a petition on their site, go see if you can sign it.

4. Protest 'Protect Marriage Sunday' - This Sunday, Focus on the Family and other Groups in the Christian Right will 'protect' marriage. Let's sound back, possibly with things that expose the bigotry of the Christian Right.

5. Get Educated about Focus on the Family - The Religious Freedom Coalition of the Southeast has a page about Dobson's true values here.

I am sure if we all get together and do these things, we can change things for the better.

1. Interesting.. thanks for posting this. I want to look into CNP first..

I'm a "reformed" fundie/evangelical. I fell away from the teachings when I started to "grow". Later, after Bush was selected, I got wind of how corrupt and twisted my former sect really is...it has been devastating to know I've been duped all my life.

In anycase, I know how these twits think, how they talk, what they believe and I've spent some time in different websites reading their religious "Spin". I've also had the "pleasure" }( of writing my critiques to them as well.

Not only are these people pushing a fascist style agenda in terms of government, they are also misleading GOOD PEOPLE of honest faith...that is the WORST thing that any group can do to other human beings. I am LIVID with these people at this point for their filthy complicity in dirty politics and I'm LIVID with these people for killing the souls of decent people...that is the thing I want revenge over more than anything.

Let me go check out the CNP site. If it's viable, I'll join. Thanks again... :thumbsup:

2. I have a few cousins in that cult

they are a DISTURBING group. They are similar to other cults in that they send their young adults out to 'do service' ie-recruit in the 3rd world.

3. James Dobson is an effing loser. He loves his money and all the

morons that give it to him. I think he owns most of Col. Spgs.
