From the most recent Democracy for America mailing:
Tom DeLay is falling apart. Against all odds, the Republican House Majority Leader faces a do-or-die fight for re-election.
You can help him self-destruct by putting the first-ever Democracy for America TV ad on the air in his district:
http://www.retiretomdelay.comThe message is simple: Tom DeLay is an embarrassment. He operates the most corrupt money-for-influence machine in Washington. And he abuses the power of his office--in one case sending the Homeland Security forces after his political opponents.
His top aides have been arrested and indicted. Even his own colleagues on the Ethics Committee (many of them recipients of DeLay machine money) documented his wrongdoing--but they failed to hold him accountable.
Only the Texans in his district can do that now. Get this message to them by putting this ad up in DeLay's backyard:
http://www.retiretomdelay.comWe weren't planning to go on the air. We focus on person-to-person political action--building a community of active citizens who understand that we are all in this together. Real people on the ground get that message out better than television does. But we have an incredible opportunity. We spoke out early against DeLay--and now there's a chance to turn this unexpectedly competitive race into a major upset.
It will take $100,000 to get this ad on the air. If you want to take down Tom DeLay, contribute now to get this ad up by Wednesday night. It can only happen with your help:
http://www.retiretomdelay.comTom DeLay doesn't represent Texas--he represents the highest bidder. And his scorched-earth tactics degrade politics and undermine our democracy.
Getting rid of Tom DeLay will be a victory for decency and integrity in our political process. And it will demonstrate that even the man who once said, "I am the federal government," can be held accountable.
Thank you,

The email leaves out, and Atrios points out, that there are only five Republicans who haven't received money from DeLay. In short, if your Representative is Republican, he's probably taken DeLay cash. I suggest call them on it.
But first, there's the matter of the ad money.
You all know what to do.
