Bring your camera or videophone when you vote!! |

BRING YOUR VIDEO CAMERA TO THE POLLS
If there is illegal voter discrimination and intimidation at the polls (as there was in the 2000 election) we need to get it documented. Bring your video camera to the polls and roll video on any irregularities you see.
Think about this: If the man who witnessed the Rodney King beating had not videotaped it there would not have been a story. It would have been just another claim of police abuse.
The 2000 election had many claims of voter intimidation at the polls, but with no video to drive the story the injustices did not receive the attention they should have.
Urge your friends, election monitors, voter outreach groups--indeed all citizens--to bring their video camera to the polls (make sure batteries are charged).

1. Make sure it's a new tape |

A lawyer friend of mine recommended that. Fresh, clean, unused tape and full battery. Get a friend with the same to corroborate your account of the events. (Isn't it sick that we even have to think about and plan for this?)
