I know several people who have gotten (or given) new or nearly new items, for free! I know we will use it next time we move, and probably before then, for kids' stuff...

I've given stuff and gotten stuff, and it just seems like when I have something to give, there's always someone who needs it, and when I need something, there's always someone who wants to get rid of it.
Almost everyone has stuff they've been wondering whether to try to sell on Ebay or give to a thrift store, but would like to get rid of, and almost everyone has something they want or need but don't want to spend money on. freecycle.org makes it easy for us to redistribute things so that everybody ends up happier without anyone spending a dime.
LOVE IT!
