Local paper called to confirm that I submitted LTTE about Rove (as a DU Activist) this morning. This is a first after many submissions over the years. Maybe my short little rant will appear in the paper.

and from the local rag that has REFUSED to run ANYTHING i've sent them since the start of the invasion of Iraq!!! :bounce: :bounce:
I was toying with not sending them my LTTE, but ended up doing so under the "what the hell, might work" theory. :)
is there going to be an official "score sheet" so we can see how many LTTEs get published? :)

Wish me luck with mine, it goes out tomorrow (I hope it gets published.)
I still need to shorten it a bit, and convince some grammatically superior individuals to check it for me, but I like it!
This is starting to get fun!
:bounce:
on edit - I will have to spell better than this as well.:silly:

Valerie Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, was working on monitoring weapons of mass destruction for the CIA.
By leaking her identity, Karl Rove endangered U.S. national security for political payback and to discredit Wilson for exposing the false story about Iraq's trying to buy uranium yellowcake in Niger -- allegations used to promote the Iraq war.
President Bush said on Feb. 10, 2004, during a fund-raising stop in Chicago: "If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is. If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of."
If Bush is a man of his word, he will fire Rove, his deputy chief of staff, for placing politics above national security.
Even Bush's father, former President George H.W. Bush, who once headed the CIA, understands the serious nature of leaking the name of a CIA operative.
"Even though I'm a tranquil guy now at this stage of my life, I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray the trust by exposing the name of our sources," he said in April 1999. "They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors."

25. Great letter and congratulations! |
|
I noticed that newspapers seem to be moving much faster on the Rove story than on anything else thus far in the Bush administration. I usually have a wait of up to a week before an editor calls me and I heard from the paper about four hours after I submitted my letter on Rove. They published it this morning.
I find this urgency VERY encouraging.

26. I've gotten calls from both papers to verify that I wrote the letter |
|
but neither paper would say whether my letter would be published or not. What's up with that? Guess I'll just have to watch in the next couple of days. My letter wasn't in either edition today. Darn.

27. Some papers don't flat out tell you whether it will be published or not. |
|
But if you get a verification call that's a signal of likely publication within the next week. At least that's how my local paper does it. I was surprised when the Sentinel flat out told me I'd be in the next morning's edition.

I think the Press also hates Rove and have been hoping he'd go down...I have a feeling he's the one that has been the rope that tied their hands from reporting how they should have...Look at the WH press, they are absolutely giddy...
