2. Nice letter. I do wince, however |
|
when I see that some newspapers still publish the addresses of the letter writers. With today's atmosphere, please be careful.

5. Papers around here ask for address too, but have the good sense not to |
|
publish more than just the town a writer comes from! They really should look into a policy change.
Great job getting published! Feels good to get your voice out there, doesn't it?
Thank you for taking part in the fight to save our nation. You're doin good!

13. Yes, most papers require full address and phone number |
|
for verification, but will only publish the city.
Many years ago we lived in Des Moines, IA and the local paper there would also publish the address.
And I don't remember what my letter was about, but the next thing someone sent me some stuff about numerology - whatever that is.
And, really, today, with people a lot more militant, perhaps someone need to start a petition for the paper to change its policy.
Plus, today's papers are also online, so the address is really distributed worldwide.
I can still find minutes of city council where I lived years back and my name and then address are posted.
