Cindy Sheehan awareness campaigns, any ideas for DIY?

Even some of my nonpolitical wonk, but very progressive friends are unaware of who she is or why she's important.

I think a campaign that raises the question of who she is might be very effective, something very public that we can do ourselves. It might put more pressure on the media to cover her and win her more public sympathy when her story is told.

I'm thinking of a sort of "black/white Bush" campaign as DU and other sites had last year, but I'm not an artistic type.

I'm thinking of something very simple that sticks in the mind so that people will be driven to find out more. If we simply get her name out there, people will be able to Google and find out more. Note that I just Googled her name and aside from a precious few articles, mostly from Drudge, all the results were supportive.

Has anyone got ideas as to how to do this?

1. Here's my little suggestion

Stickers saying:

"Who is Cindy Sheehan
and why is she demanding
answers about Iraq?" (or ..about her son's death")


And just post it on forums and ask everyone here to post it wherever they can

I have also made an informational email about Cindy, including artlicels and pictures. I will email it to anyone who PMs me with their email address for you to send out to everyone you know.

(P.S. I also have an email group that I send important stories and actions. If you'd like to be on that list, let me know in your PM. Othersise, I'll just send the Sheehan email.)

3. I'm making a sticker button for myself to wear....

It will say something like "Ask me about Cindy Sheehan" or something along those lines. I'm just planning to print out round stickers to put on my tee or the side of my shoulder bag. That makes it easy, inexpensive and I can make them as soon I think them up.

5. How about Cindy Sheehan for president PR campaign

Just like "Kilroy was here" in WW2, we could plaster "Cindy Sheehan for President" everywhere.

I have been waiting for the thread on the subject. It has to happen sometime.
