Nader running for President |
|
I suggest we all send Ralph Nader a letter or email detailing the hardships we have been through since Bush has been in office, and asking him not to run, but to unite behind the Democrat Parties candidate to bring American back and help our lives.
Ralph Nader 53 Hillside Avenue Winsted, Connecticut 06098 (This was the address on his 2000 Candidacy Filing form)

1. You mean, remind him that there IS a difference between the two parties? |
|
Will he go for it? </sarcasm>

13. and tell him this country isn't ready for a third party.. |
|
..at least not one that starts at the top office. If a third party is to work it needs to start at the bottom and grow. I believe that Nader would be a good President but right now he is dividing the left thinking voters and giving the repukes the inside track. Americans have a hard enough time deciding between the two established parties, they are to intellectually lazy to make the effort to understand anything deeper. Think about it. One issue voters are simple minded. They normally vote for repukes. Pro-life people don't seem to understand now that the right owns all three branches of the gov't they could easily overturn Roe yet they haven't for some reason. The gun issue is another no-brainer, the Dems don't want to take anyone hunting weapons they just want people to be respondsible. I realize the gun issue is more complicated when you add in the automatics, handguns and concealment issues but most of the voters here in central WI are worried about their hunting guns. Many of those of us on the left put a little more thought into our votes but there are plenty who want it kept simple - enough that it can make or break an election - does anyone remember 2000?

and thank him for his 45 years of unending service to America. Some people DON'T focus on some third-party candidate as an excuse for the problems in the Democratic party.

I find it interesting that most of Nader's appeal was among well off white liberals. Black voters understood the importance of the last election: they voted 90%-8% for Gore, more than Bill Clinton got, and a better turnout too. Voting for Nader was a bourgeoise luxury that poor, non-white people could not afford to indulge in, as they are the people who were destined to suffer the most in a Bush Administration. Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins and Michael Moore can pat themselves on the back for standing on "principle", but when it comes down to it, they will be comfortable and secure no matter who is elected.

Either way, this is a very important election, and he should not run again. What if he scres us over once again?

Corvairs turned into pretty decent vehicles BECAUSE of him. Vehicle safety was finally mandated BECAUSE of him. To scapegoat is to shoulder the blame. Figure it out.

11. He also gave us the current fascist administration, knowingly |
|
he knew by running he could never win and that he was a spoiler to the democrats.
If he had not been in the race, the bushistas would not have had such a close race that they could cook the numbers and the supremes wwouldnt have had their chance to throw it to the fascists.
He knew it. He said, let the people see what bush and the gop will do to this country.....
he knew it and still would not withdraw to save this country from them/
if the "greens" and Nader are happy with the destruction of the constitution, and rights we will never get back, which they helped put into motion by his not withdrawing when he knew he could never win....then congratulations.
His actions belied the visciousness in his soul.
