Will there be any Sept. 24th events in other cities? |
|
I would love to go to D.C. on the 24, but my daughter will be born a few days after that, making travel impossible. I can, however, stay here in Chicago to protest, but I haven't been able to find out anything about any Chicago events. Are there any? If there are, they are not well-publicized. If not, how would I go about helping to put one together?
Thanks!

1. Try the United For Peace and Justice website |

Look under "Local Events". I think they also have tools and things to help you put a protest together.
Also, check out the upcoming bus tour after Camp Casey breaks at the end of August.

They'll be in Chicago September 6-7.

http://www.internationalanswer.org/edited to add, as for Chicago, I would talk to these folks, who are organizing a bus from Chicago to DC, and find out if they know of any planned event in Chi-town: http://gayliberation.org/

There's no way I can make it to DC, I hope that there will be something here in Portland, ME in September. Judging from the turnout at the candle light vigils recently there are plenty of us around! How would I go about making this happen if there is nothing planned in my area? Iconoclastic, baby due soon? Wow, you're a trooper. I hope someone else in your area plans something that you can attend and not have to stress over. Best of luck to you and your impending arrival!! Whatsername
