Cali Alert: Recall Arnold Petition needs 58 more signatures!
A group of Californias are getting together to serve notice to the rethuglicans that Democrats won't lay down for Bushco. Check out the following statement, web page, and article by Joe Conason.

RECALL ARNOLD NOW!

Here it is! This is NOT a Petition, but a Notice of Intention as required by the Elections Code to get the ball rolling. Once I have 65 Signatures, I’ll serve it by Certified Mail to the State Capitol, and then AHRNOLD has to respond within seven days. When we get the response, then we have 10 days to get it published as a legal notice in the newspaper, and prepare Petitions for Secretary of State Kevin Shelley to approve. This is very important to strike back at the Republinazis, and their Clear Channel and other ultra-konservative talk radio allies and STICK IT TO THEM! Please e-mail me at the following address, so that I can arrange for you and your friends to sign the Notice of Intention
Check out "Proponent’s Statement of Reasons for Recall"
http://www.angelfire.com/biz/hankramey/page4.html

"...As a general rule, Democrats should not hesitate to deploy any technique or technicality used by Republicans, including badly drawn constitutional procedures like the California recall. More specifically, a million ready-to-file recall petition signatures could provide some useful discipline to the gang of Wilson retreads surrounding Schwarzenegger, not to mention the governor-elect himself. Who knows what these people have in mind? Aside from abolishing the car tax, they didn't reveal much about their plans.

The petitions don't have to be filed if that seems unwise at the time. But why not have them handy, just in case they're needed? The prospect of a Democratic-dominated recall election might discourage Schwarzenegger from assaulting the state Legislature in his Hummer."

if this is the way the game is played -- then let's play it to win.
there were choices to be made -- and issa{and the white house?} made them.
liberals must get ducks with stiff back bones in a row and re-call this schmuck.

7. I heard on the am news that after the accounting stuff was pulled
out that Ahhrnold inherits something like $24 bln in debt. Main stream tv news in the Bay Area last night all pointed out that even though he rolled back the DMV tax that he still has to come up with the money for the cops and fire departments, which the DMV money would have taken care of.

As Gray Davis said recently when being interviewed, "It's one thing to be on the campaign trail, let's see what happens in Sacramento--I wish him luck."
