Buy Union-Made Goods This Holiday Season
Edited on Sat Nov-29-03 12:31 PM by ldoolin
I now have a list up on my website of places where you can buy 100% union-made goods online:

http://www.blogstudio.com/ldoolin

Included on the list are several online stores that sell 100% union-made clothing. No excuse at all to shop at Wally World this year!

Also I'm posting some research into where different companies are giving their political donations. We don't vote for Repugs or send them money; why give companies who donate to Repugs our business? This is going to be an ongoing series on that blog. So far I have looked into oil companies, Las Vegas casinos, fast food, and airlines. Coming in the near future will be tobacco companies, supermarkets, and more.

Hope everyone here finds the website useful.

Could I add a good site for food and book gifts? (They sell the books online. I don't know if they actually have online food ordering, but there's mail order).

Family Farm Defenders (www.familiyfarmdefenders.org) sells cheese and related gift baskets, books about the evils of agribusiness, etc. They're a very progressive organization -- they had a big presence at Fighting Bob Fest this year.

We're buying at least four gifts from them this year.

Oh, and Welcome to DU! :toast:

3. Citgo is owned by Venezuela's state run oil company
I had no idea. From your blog: "In my opinion, Citgo is where you should be going out of your way to buy your gas, motor oil, and other products, because Citgo is wholly owned by Venezuela's state-run oil company, and Venezuela currently has a left-progressive government. Citgo USA's current president was appointed to his position by Venezuela's president, Hugo Chavez. You can show your support for the Hugo Chavez presidency of Venezuela, help them fend off right-wing coup attempts, and help their government have the needed funds to provide basic services to their people and carry out needed reforms, by buying all your gas at Citgo. Of course, if the political situation changes in Venezuela, Citgo may be taken off the recommended list, but for now, buy Citgo. "

Now I have to find a Citgo.
