Send this letter to your representative in Congress! (e-voting) |
|
http://action.eff.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=2821Please send this letter (this website does it automatically for you) to encourage your congressman or woman to support the bill requiring a paper trail for the Diebold e-voting machines. Without a paper trail, the election is lost. NOT ONE Republican is supporting this bill. Very scary. Please act.

5. Not true about the Repugs |
|
At last count a couple of days ago, 3 Repugs had signed on to this bill. So all you Duers who have Repug congresscritters, as I do, go ahead and send the letter. It may help. Better yet, call them. You may have to explain what the bill it to them. Mine didn't have a clue. Obviously, if a bill is submitted by a Dem, he does not even bother to check it out. Also, the Repug, Ney of Ohio, who wrote and pushed HAVA through is telling his constituents who write him about support for the Holt bill, that he will consider support for it when it comes out of committee. What he is NOT telling them is that he is the one STOPPING it from going to the floor.

I just signed it, and while I was there did letters on all the other issues on the EFF website too.
A little hint: When you send the EFF's letters to your congresscritter, click on the button to send a fax. Faxes are more effective than emails.
