Great turnout. On short notice, we had about 15 people show up at the KSTP offices on University Ave. at about 4:30. Two of us went inside to see if we could get someone to come out and talk with us. They sent a middle-level manager to talk with us, who was sympathetic to our complaint against national ABC's decision.
We were told that no news team or writer was available because of our proximity to the 5:00 news and that they were still "writing" the 6:00 news.
We got the manager to come out on the sidewalk with us, where cars were honking at our signs in solidarity. The manager wanted to know if there were also Sharpton and Moseley-Braun supporters and we told him they were all invited to join us, but that we were all Kucinich people.
The manager suggested giving the station a heads-up ahead of time, or finding another venue at which to attract news attention in order to try to get on the news.
After about an hour we disbanded.
