2. Bring cameras and pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes |
|

Bring cameras and pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes. Every so often, drop your film or digital media into the envelope and send it off safe and sound. Alternatively, download to a friend's laptop. Maybe groups of observers could designate a person to collect downloads in a safe spot a bit away from the action.
Photograph and follow anyone who doesn't seem to be who they are trying to project as. Keep eyes peeled for disruptors. Photo anyone who leaves the crowd and joins the police lines or vice versa.
Photograph any illegal act against person or property.

11. for people who are photo/videographing for legal purposes |
|
they should try to avoid getting protesters' faced/identifying marks. Just zoom/focus on the police and the TARU people

4. No sticks - use tubes from wrapping paper |
|
They'll take your sticks but are fine with those cardboard tubes used in wrapping paper

To confirm the above: yes, cardboard tubes are okay, sticks are verbotten.
Here's whats in my kit: Two ace bandages, gauze pads+ tape, small bottle of eyewash, small towel, ear plugs, drinking water, digital camera, transistor radio tuned to WBAI, cel phone, identification, cash, sun glasses, hat, American Flag.
Sounds like alot to lug around, but really isn't. Be alot more of a hassle to need any of these items and not have them.
See you in the Streets.
(Or at Rocky's. Nice joint, I know the owner.)

6. Thanks I have an idea for bus riders too |
|
I hadn't thought of eye wash or ear plugs great ideas
I'm riding a bus so I'm taking extra face and hand wipes and a can of spray deodorant for use by who ever forgets. Trying to keep the trip pleasant, if you catch my drift.

you might want to get the mist-pump type deoderant. One aerosol can and a lighter can make you a freedom-hating terraist.

I wasn't planning on carrying it at the protest but I'll buy the pump to be safe.
