Fun! I'm ordering my bumperstickers today.

I strongly urge you NOT to do that. Regardless of what the bumper sticker had on it, I'd get pretty PISSED if someone put a bumper sticker on my car without my permission. I can't stand bumper stickers on my car.

And have a bucket of soap and water nearby in order to wash & dry bumper and apply to a clean surface, if requested to do so.

That kinda seemed self-evident to me, the asking part. Although they didn't mention it in the post, to be sure.

5. For me...

It's just about keeping my car looking "neat" and clean. I don't need to advertise to the world who I am voting for, or that I love my dog/cat/turtle, or that I am a member of the NRA (no, I am not)...

4. Yes...

I hoped that was what was meant, but I have come out to my car twice, to once find a "Bush/Cheney" bumper sticker on it, and the second time (a few weeks later - same parking lot) to find a "Kerry/Edwards" bumper sticker on it. Both times I was equally upset that someone would do this, as if it would influence who I was voting for.

6. A "Re-Defeat Bush" Sticker Appeared on My Bumper

They had to put it on the top of the bumper because the rest is full,
so they could reasonably infer I had no objection to bumper stickers.
I now have:

7. Thought I'd let folks know how it went!

Oh my GOSH! This was such an AMAZING success!!!!!!

Despite shifting TWICE due to hurricanes and rain forecast, we had
close to 40 volunteers, handing out a total of nearly 500
bumperstickers on 4 corners throughout the city of Greensboro. One
corner, in a predominantly black neighborhood near North Carolina A&T
State University ran out of bumperstickers in TWENTY MINUTES!!!! On
another corner near the local Quaker church & Guilford College gave
theirs out in THIRTY minutes! On the third corner, near UNCG, the
bumperstickers were gone in 75 minutes. And the last, trickiest
corner (no light) handed out 100 stickers in 2 hours.

I am still in TOTAL AWE from the enthusiasm and determination of
those 40 volunteers, all of whom had a GREAT time. On two corners,
folks STAYED for another hour, just waving and holding up Kerry signs.

And the cost... $50. (I went in with a large order and got mine for
10 cents each from www.kerrymart.com)

I absolutely hope that others will give this a try. It's a great way
to turn on volunteers and excite Democratic voters.
