NEW YORK – Sen. Barack Obama's new campaign plane made its inaugural flight here this evening.

The North American Airlines charter is a Boeing 757 and replaces a Boeing 737 that had served as his home in the air for roughly two months.

"Apparently, all the 737s have been taken up by March Madness," the Illinois Democrat said as the plane was about to depart Greensboro, N.C., a reference to the transit needs of the NCAA basketball tournament.

The new aircraft has a giant flag painted on its tail. Sort of appropriate for a guy running for president.
