Is Nicolas_J being honest? How do you define honesty? |
|
Let's have an open debate on this issue.

3. By only posting derogatory articles about Dean? |
|
He's biased. I wouldn't call it 'honesty' if you only choose to tell one side of the story. BTW, Most of us Dean supporters are well aware that the man isn't perfect. I defy anyone to find the 'perfect' candidate in this race.
That being said, Dean is the only Democratic candidate who has what it takes to beat Bush. We need someone who is going to go directly after Bush and his policies. I see what happened to Gore in 2000 and the other candidates don't appear as if they have a different strategy. We need a energetic, innovative fighter this time!

5. This thread violates DU guidelines. You should be ashamed. |
|
Why the need to attack Nicholas_J? And blm?
They don't think Dean is God! Good grief - this is beyond the pale.

I find it a bit too intolerable to give bullies passive -aggressive power to humiliate and insight misery. There is a limit and honest community discussion is healthy.

11. Nick raised the question about a candidate. With a link. |
|
Maybe we should talk about your honesty. But that would be against DU rules.

I never bother, do you?
It's no secret that I don't care for Kerry. In fact, he revolts me, but I can't be bothered enough to devote long and endless discourses, thread after thread, to portraying him as the anti-christ when the bush cabal is still steering us into stormy waters.
Had to laugh when I saw bush at one of his tailored appearances, dressed Dean-style, with the sleeves rolled up on his oxford shirt unbuttoned at the collar.
Then I saw the photos of the crowds gathered to meet Dean in Philly, and thought how Bush couldn't even show his face in front of a group that wasn't pre-selected. It certainly doesn't project an image of Bush as the overwhelming choice to win elections.

14. But starting 10 Dean is God threads IS conducive toward what? |
|
Productive discussion? NOT.
But just as you guys have every right to do that, so does Nicholas_J.
But you can't seem to see that - as usual.

16. Okay, rhetorical hyperbole. But truly, some days there are |
|
countless threads about how Dean is the ONLY candidate who can save the Democratic party, how Dean is the ONLY candidate generating grassroots support. Dean did this, Dean did that.
My point was about the volume - which I believe is a big part of your issue with Nick. There was a suggestion at one point that we start ONE daily thread about each candidate, so the board is not cluttered with so many threads. Maybe we should revisit that idea.
But in the mean time, I am posting in a thread that I feel should be locked, because it is a personal attack on a DU member.

17. Actually I do see it... |
|
...but I've held off on responding totally in kind because like some others here there's the dilemma of slamming an opposing candidate to the degree where it might benefit Bush supporters.
Frankly, I can come up with more negative threads towards Kerry then any other candidate and perhaps this is something Kerry supporters don't understand, attacks beget attacks. The day Kerry makes his big announcement in September might be the best day to play that hand if I so choose. So if the preference here is to get down and dirty because of some weird adversion towards positive candidate threads... then by all means we can rumble.

18. Nicholas_J is honest. |
|
Nicholas_J is also longwinded, boring, and obsessed with Howard Dean.
If Dean wins New Hampshire, Kerry is toast. This is why we don't see any anti-Kucinich or anti-Edwards threads from some of the more zealous Kerry forces.
I just wish the criticisms were more substantive. Most of them are like, "Howard Dean said health care for all is a good thing, when he should have said it is a very good thing!" etc. etc.

It is my intention to being annoying. So are all of the Dean is Great posts with no content I have to look at every three minutes.
If you want to argue the positive aspects of Deans candidacy without using posts from his mindless, sycophantic Dean for America Website or his Stepford blog, fine.
But since you cant, dont bother me.

It is my perception this rant is a relentless endevor to cause disruption to the DU Community.
