Officially supporting John Kerry for President
I have had the ABB avatar since they've been available, and I will still vote for anyone who gets the Dem nomination. But for now, I have decided that who I want to vote for is John Kerry.

I was originally intrigued by both the Howard Dean and John Kerry candidacies. I was intrigued by the Governor of Vermont, who had signed the first in the nation civil unions law (personally relevant to me). I loved his anger at Bush. I was disturbed by his anger at his fellow Democrats, but I understood the frustration after Selection 2000 and the disappointing 2002 results.

But I've decided that I want someone to be President of the WHOLE nation, not just the Democratic Party or the Anti-war liberals. I want someone who when he speaks of the future, speaks to the best in ALL of us as Americans. I want someone to heal this country of its partisan rift, not just put the Dems on top in a still divided nation.

I want a problem solver who listens to everyone and comes up with a solution that gives everyone as much as possible of their underlying needs, rather than forcing a solution down the oppositions throat.

I believe John Kerry is that man.

2. I Like John Kerry
I do hope he learns how to wage a better campaign, though, and how to communicate less in the Senate floor speech manner. He's definitely improving, so the primary fight is helping.

3. The Anti-Bush.
Kerry is in so many ways the Anti-Bush: the war hero/protestor vs the AWOL partier, the thoughtful statesman vs the empty suit, the debater vs the smirker. And a real uniter vs the divider Bush has proven to be.

5. Planning On Going To A Meet-Up?
There's lots of ways to show your support for Kerry, but only one where you can get drunk afterwards.:toast:

Glad to have you aboard! Keep it positive!

it really says it to me - we want a President who understands how important it is that we leave those little kids a better world.
