About the Dean vs. Kucinich on social security.
Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 12:57 AM by Magical
Dean: Said he "entertained" raising social security to 70 in 1995 (I think it was '95). However, more recently he has changed his position on the issue saying that he would not raise it. While I accept that he has changed his mind I certainly don't like that he never has considered lowering it. That being said I give him a 3 (on a scale of 1-5)on the issue, nothing that bad, nothing that good.

Kucinich: Strong advocate for taking the retirement age back to 65. He has never wavered on his stance. Given that I give him a 5. (on a scale of 1-5)

This is my reasoning. I am not attacking Dean. I am pointing out that while he did "waver" I forgive him.
:)

1. that is true
so this is the bashing of Dean that we do huh magical. Funny dont these people know I once supported him granted that was before DK entered but its not like I dont like him, me and him would see eye to eye on social issues likely but on economics and if you wonder why I am not for Dean thats why, I support populists not centrists but ABB is fine by me.

2. And this is not a bash either...
There's already a thread on this topic in this forum. Just a few places below this one. Why not continue the discussion there instead of having to now repeat all the pro and con arguments here for your sake?
