Spell leaves Kerry for Clark |
|
Kym Spell left as John Kerry's NH communications director Thursday after her mentor, Chris Lehane, stepped down as Kerry's national communication director. Spell has since joined Wesley Clark's recently launched campaign. http://www.politicsnh.com/archives/pindell/2003/september/9_18spell.shtml

4. Lehane is an odious person |
|
a real die hard DLCer with a mean streak a mile wide and he was a major factor in Gore's failure to bury the shrub in a landslide. So his "mentee" went to Clark? Hhmmmmm...

she was not very strong. The replacement, as JK's new NH chair comes on board, is much better.
Despite appearances, I can happily say this is a good thing. And I try to be too delusional.

8. this may be wishful thinking |

but I sense a lost generation of political advisors who moved energetically to the weakness of DLC ideology and tactics still muddling and meddling with various campaigns. I hope there is something much smarter and better crowding them out. Something like that happened with the Dems in the Sixties which the loser DLC types were in turn reacting against with hollow success. Madison Avenue, computers, focus groups and big money corporate slant. That particular DLC brew can't reach the people to any Democratic purpose especially when they are not really any good with ANY of those components.
