Dennis does it again. No $87 billion for Halliburton.
From: info@kucinich.us

KUCINICH LEADS ON CAPITOL HILL
Opposing $87 Billion: Kucinich is spearheading efforts to block the Bush Administration’s request for another $87 billion for war. Yesterday, he took to the House floor to criticize Bush’s request as war profiteering, pointing out that the Administration wants Congress to cut veterans’ benefits by $25 billion: "While we are being told to vote for $87 billion to support the troops, we find that those who will benefit from this money are the army of lobbyists who have ties to this Administration.”

5. Thank you Dennis
If only the others in the House and Senate had the courage to stand up to the war profiteers, and spend that $87mil to actually SUPPORT our troops, instead of slashing their pay and benefits.

Thanks for giving hope to this formerly disaffected Democrat :toast:

17. What was the name of that base that helped to hide $20 mil?
How can they approve this without careful scrutiny of where and how the money will be spent?

They should fight to the end to kill that bill unless we at least get the no-competition crap out of there. Iraqis can do a lot of this themselves at a fraction of the cost, and the unemployment situation will be that much better.

11. Yeah, they know what he stands for, so no coverage.
No more media consolidation; send the Justice Department after anti-trust violators (that's YOU CLEAR CHANNEL and some others;)reinstitute the fairness doctrine,; no owning newspapers and TV stations in the same area except under certain conditions; no undercutting local stations by Clear Channel; lots of local ownership, and not all religious stations either....Yeah, they KNOW that exhorbitant excess profits and not acting as if they were licensed by the public will get them in DEEP-DO-DO with a Kucinich Presidency.

So he will get no coverage.THE GREEDY B******S.

16. Was listening to the Senate the other day...and one of the repug Senators
was howling about how they needed to support the troops by passing this IMMEDIATELY for some special stuff the troops needed. A Dem Senator said that the budgets of the AF, the Navy and some Coast Guard $$ had already been raided for this exact purpose and given to the ARMY already.

He said the budgets for personnel and so on were already included in the military budget. He almost said that THE MILITARY PART of this bill was a bunch of PORK!~!

And we already know that the "reconstruction" part, $15 Billion, is a buch of PORK!!

Get a clue, Congress!~! Withold all moneys until the U. N. is in charge. The soldiers' money is already there for spending. The reconstruction money is going to be wasted. And more BLOOD of Americans will be on your hands.
