Kucinich: "Hadley? Hardly!
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/news/archive/2003/07/23/national1616EDT0713.DTL

<snip>

"So the American people are being asked to believe that the bogus cause of war against Iraq, eliminating a nuclear threat, was advanced because a lower level functionary simply overlooked a memo from a higher level functionary?" asked Kucinich, who voted against the congressional resolution authorizing the use of force and has been one of the most vocal opponents of the Iraq war.

Speaking on the House floor, the Ohio congressman challenged the president to take responsibility for his actions.

Hadley "tried to take the president, the vice president, the secretary of defense and the national security adviser off the biggest hook in town by accepting blame for the president falsely claiming in the State of the Union that Iraq was trying to go nuclear," Kucinich charged.

That these top officials "all were blissfully unaware of the fact that false nuclear claims they were circulating about Iraq were simply the result of a memo misfiled by a national security clerk named Hadley" is incredulous, Kucinich said.

7. And look how you nailed that one, blm.
Hell is breaking loose. Mainstream media is finally bringing it to the airwaves!

It's amazing how some of those other candidates have been turning up the rhetoric once they felt the tide turning; but DK has been there all along.

11. DK just points out the obvious:
"The buck stops anywhere but here!"

Blame everything on the underlings; if that doesn't work, smear the people who report on truthfully on the top dogs.
Oh, gotta luv those adults being in charge. <sarcasm>

12. Why isnt he higher in the polls
Hes the best guy for the job. He's so right on things. I really admire him I am so glad I went to Baltimore in June and got me a button too bad he wasnt there but you know I have respect for a man who realizes that he is a representive first then a presidential candiate.

13. He will be.
Remember, his campaign started later than many. And he hasn't missed any votes; he hasn't taken time off of his current job to campaign. And he doesn't take campaign donations from corporations, so he has less to splash around. Even so, look at the endorsements he is gathering. With a grassroots campaign, each and every supporter really has to work to get his name out there; most people haven't heard of him until you engage them. His momentum is building, and he isn't going away. Signs, buttons, stickers, letters to the editor, fliers and word of mouth; that's how it's going to happen. In my neighborhood liberals and dems don't talk politics; the right-wingers are so rabid here that they've shut political conversation down. So far, I've introduced about 4 people to DK, and they are all interested. As the time gets closer and the conversations heat up, I'll be waiting. Meanwhile, I'm going to the next local dem club meeting; they'll be open to a political discussion of candidates, although I expect most of the conversation will be about the Davis recall!
