Will Dean be speaking at the march on Washington DC tomorrow? |
|
He's anti-war isn't he? He said in the Baltimore debate that "it's time for our to come home."
If he's not, why not?

1. Because he's not anti-war |
|
The only anti-war and even anti "this war" candidates up there are Kucinich and Sharpton.

2. No, he can't be bothered to march |
|
that's such a ghetto thing to do, marching with all those hippies and hacky-sack players and wierdos and freaks. Direct street action is, like, so 60s, dude.
It's much easier to fire off position statements from the campaign trail or have Trippi post what he "really said" on the blogforamerica.

12. "have Trippi post what he "really said" on the blog..." |
|
that's so funny.
It's really true that they run an overt campaign designed to look not so different from the winning strategies of Clark, Edwards, Gephard, and Kerry, but then they run the covert campaign on the blog to keep the truebelievers from asking themselves whether they're hypocrites for not supporting Kucinich.

If so, that's where you'll find most of the candidates...

10. DEAN IS NOT ANTI-WAR. How many times must this be repeated? |
|
Edited on Sat Oct-25-03 12:17 AM by caledesi
Dean was against the attack on Iraq. That's it. Listen to what the man says, please. He said he would not send any of our young people into war without telling them the the TRUTH of why they are going there.
Is this clear enough for you?
edit: typos

11. Won't Deaniacs open Dean up to being branded.. |
|
as anti war by going to the rally with Dean campaign signs. BTW, I think that is a very very very bad idea. They will be repeating the mistakes of the McGovern campaign era. If Dean is the nominee, older voters will associate Dean with the McGovernites and either stay home or cast their votes for bush.

16. It's still a free country, isn't it? |
|
You prefer what YOU want. And I prefer what I want. Got it? BTW, my first preference is, "deanie-babies." Deaniacs is a compromise on my part. You should really appreciate that.
At this writing, I am watching the rally on CSPAN and there is nary a sign holding, Deaniac in sight. Thank goodness! I see a coupla Kucinich signs but that's about it.

I've been calling them Deanbots but I think I'll start using the term Deaniacs instead.
