I need to say something positive.
Wes Clark is running a classy clean positive campaign.
His Clarkies are for the most part the most civilized posters on this website.
I only hope that taking the high road can win. I'm skeptical.

1. Clark and Edwards: classy campaigns. '04 ticket?
Either way. Two positive, upbeat guys who want to change America.

4. Carville said as much on Russert the other day
The candidate that emphasizes solutions to our current problems and gives people hope for the future will be able to defeat Bush. He was very down on all the negative attacks being tossed around by Dem's against other Dem's. The first one to break out of the pack with a positive message will win the nomination and the Presidency.

8. In fairness to Kerry, though, he was targeted the most by Dean
and the media. And so EARLY on, too.

5. I'll say something else positive

Clark seems to be finding his voice. He also seems to be a quick study on the campaign trail.

In the past week his Internet campaign has looked like it's coming together. His web exposure is increasing and his response to issues and events is now coming almost instantaneously.

After signing a volunteers' list a few weeks ago, I have finally made it into the Clark campaign database. I got my first volunteer e-mail last week. (I responded, and have not heard back, but one can't ask for perfection.) I am one of these folks who has only a few hours to give, so I'm an outsider, but it looks like the grassroots campaign is starting in earnest.

And, yes, I like that Clark is keeping it positive and is aiming at our real target -- the Bush administration.

6. On the Surface, Yes
Beneath the surface, the jury is still out on Clark's campaign. The Edwards-Saudi "connection" (yeah, right) story smells to me like a rival campaign's mischief, but maybe I'm just being too cynical. (And it could be any of them.)

I quite honestly think the Dean folks have run an aggressive but fair campaign. They hammered other Democrats on key votes, and they organized. That's cool.

Kerry's getting borderline now, in my opinion.

No major complaints, though.

9. It's the Candidate, Not the Campaign
I'm voting for Clark because of who he is, not who he isn't - Bush. And even if his campaign isn't, yet, a well-oiled machine, it's irrelevant. Actually, I think what he and his campaign have done so far, running from a standing start, has been very impressive.

7. As a non-American I like his stance on cooperating with your allies!
I've heard him say several times how important he knows it is that America mend fences with the friends Bush has alienated...As a Canadian that is very important to me!...Also, this is only my opinion and I may be wrong, but it seems to me that the thinking Republicans who are becoming disenchanted with Bush might find Clark an attractive alternative because of his distinguished military background....Anyway, it would be nice to have an intelligent, informed, world-wise person in the White House after what's there now!!

10. Something positive:
All 9 candidates are greatly preferred over Bush.

I appreciate their efforts to bring the Bush disaster to the public. When watching the debates, I've enjoyed listening to every single one of them. I like them all, whether or not I agree with their platform or plan to vote for them; I can only vote for one!

We are all on the same team when the general election gets here.

I have enjoyed civilized discussions with supporters of all ten candidates and count them all as worthy, civilized people. For the record, I don't think labeling one group as more civil than another is positive.

I'm glad you see Clark as running a clean campaign. I'm a little uncomfortable with the "classy" part. I really don't want to see the primaries disintegrate into class warfare.

I can gladly join you with a toast to civility and clean campaigning:

11. If you want to know the truth
if Clark doesn't get the nomination, I still feel I can go work for the other contenders without reservation to defeat George Bush (except maybe Lieberman which I would still vote for against Bush, just couldn't work for him because of his foreign policy and attacks on the others).
