Peter Camejo in a radio interview suggests he and Arianna Huffington might form a progressive bloc in the California recall election, and said one could conceivably endorse the other if it looks like their combined vote could win.

Monday on KPFK radio, Peter Camejo spoke of his campaign for Governor in the upcoming California recall election. Among other things he suggests an alliance with Arianna Huffington, assuming she runs.

Some highlights:

He recently had a 3 1/2 hour discussion with Arianna Huffington and is encouraging her to run. The more progressives that run, the better. In fact, they could form a progressive bloc to further get their common message out.

Here's the stunner, he said if that happens then maybe towards the end of the race one of them endorses the other, and we get a progressive as governor.

1. Arianna's not that stupid

If she decides to run, why would she endorse someone she's running against. If the second half of the ballot isn't thrown out, each candidate will need as many votes as they can get. Since no Democrats are running, if the second half of the ballot makes it (and hopefully it won't), I'll vote no on the recall and for Arianna (if she runs.)
