Kucinich supporters - Does Dennis have a list of picket lines he joined |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-06-03 03:55 PM by blm
and marched in with the workers? I know he did it many times in Cleveland, but am wondering how many labor unions are aware of Dennis' ACTIONS over the years and not just the speeches of an election year candidate?
Who joined picket lines or stood with labor? Dennis should compile all the times he marched with the strikers.

That's in the L.A. area. He brought Ed Asner and Mime Kennedy along with him to march with the strikers.

who is a card-carrying UNION MEMBER, too! This is another sorely neglected fact the media (and other union chiefs) like to overlook.
Union endorsements are fine, but oftentimes the endorsee is the one picked by the union leadership, not the rank and file.
After all, don't forget that the Teamsters endorsed Reagan for president-- TWICE.

the unions and their members for who they want to see as the Dem nominee.
But, I really think it would be helpful and eye-opening if the list was made of DK's LIFETIME support for union members.

8. So was Jesse Venture in Minnesota... |

(Screen Actors Guild I believe). So was he the better canidate since neither Skip Humphrey nor Norm Coleman were "card carrying union members"?
Being a union member doesn't push him above other canidates or me.

Reagan was president of SAG. So was Ed Asner, who endorsed Kucinich.
I still stand by the fact that somebody who has actually been a union member and walked the line will bring a better voice to the campaign than any labor lawyer or relative ever will.
It's the difference between experiencing it yourself, or watching it happen to somebody else.
