Al Gore
Currently watching Gore on C-Span. Interestingly, he appears more Presidential than anyone running. Anyone else watching, do you agree or not?

2. I just turned it on
He is talking about 9-11 and intelligence it seems.

Will he mention the Hannity memo?

4. Al Gore should appear presidential.....
because that is what he is. Our elected President, who was not allowed to serve because of SCOTUS. And any of our current candidates are more presidential than the squatter in the Oval Office.

5. Yes, of course...
...and though I might like the world to be otherwise...

But, he also operates with impunity. He's no office to be re-elected to, no campaign he's associated with. So he's free to open doors. That's a GREAT thing...

9. I'm proud of Al Gore but Howard Dean is starting to grow Presidential
and I noticed that Gore said some phrases heard in a Howard Dean speech -- "we can do better than that" is one and can't remember the other.

I'm really glad that Al Gore is letting it out. We need him as a Party Elder who can offer a statesmanlike direction for our schizoid party leadership right now.

11. It's doubtful Gore would speak this way if he were running
He can provide significant moral authority for Dems, tho. That's for sure. I was in tears and he WAS presidential but I saw similarities with some of Dean's positions. Gore was more in depth but he isn't in a race.

12. Agree
And if we don't change our parties posistions from 2000, if we just hope that disgust for Bush keeps the liberals in check, then, may I ask, "Who better than Gore?"

13. When he said "How Dare They" I absolutely
loved it. The woman who introduced him originally said President Gore then changed it to Vice President. I'm sure she did this on purpose. He did a great job of pointing out every minute detail of the crimes of this administration against the American People.

14. He did...
and yet, I expected him to say more.

And this has always been my problem with Gore, a fine public speaker..an honest individual with no major charector flaws. But the one time I have been completely satisfied with his presentation of a detailed agenda was when he wrote his book "Earth In the Balance".

One of the more interesting books I've read by a politician, and he was willing to take some political risks for the national good in that book!
