Dean to use footage of Bush landing on aircraft carrier in ad
Howard Dean plans to air television commercials showing footage of Bush's landing on the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln--images Bush deployed as a triumphant visual coda to the Iraqi conflict but which Dean says afre now powerful reminders of a war gone wrong.

"We're going to put the aircraft carrier ad and show what his real defense is," Dean said in an interview, "We're going to use this footage of him landing on the aircraft carrier...to show he is all talk and no action. And the action he's got us into cost us 400 lives and thousands of wounded peoople who will never get their limbs back..."

2. he should go a step further
when he appears on "Hardball" he should bring with him the clip of Tweety and Fineman gushing about it, and saying how none of the dems could pull off such a coup.

4. there are many ways to serve your country
without being in the military. I think being a doctor is a swell one.

5. Terrific idea!!
and what's more, us taxpayers already paid big-time for the bush/aircraft carrier photo op so we may as well get some use out of the footage.

7. Great! Glad Dean's being creative with his ads
if he shows troops with missing limbs, i hope he shows that they lost their limbs not for serving their country, but for serving their country's corporate interests

i wish he would do this if he wants to appeal to confederate flag wavers; this is a message they would feel and would listen to, i am sure

9. glad to hear it
Like so many here at DU I've been waiting for one of the Dems to use it. Now is the time to capitalize - the negative issue of the banner is in folks minds, Dean should bring it front and center with Commander Bunnypant's fake landing...

10. Too Bad Dean Hasn't Got Much To Show
Regarding his own Foreign Policy or Military Experience.

We elect a President not a Staff.

11. He knew invading Iraq was a mistake.
Doesn't seem like foreign policy experience accounts for much when it comes to the other candidates who didn't, and then brag about how much experience they have.

14. Bush will have the weight of incumbency
and stop comparing Dean to the very smart career politician Clinton.

12. You know what else would be great?
If they hired the guy who did the ads for Nader in 2000. Yes, I know how most of us feel about Ralph, but those ads were great!

would be great for Dean too.
