1. Yeah, but
can Judy Woodruff (it is her, right?) say his name without looking like she just sucked a lemon? Inquiring cube rats want to know.

6. Dean is newsworthy, hence, he gets the focus.
What else do you call a candidate who was an asterisk at the beginning of the year who went on, despite sever criticism in the media and elsewhere, to become the biggest democratic fundraiser and built the largest grassroots campaign of the season and overtaking, or coming close to overtaking, local favorites in NH and IOWA?

Dean has earned his claim to fame.

7. I just love
how people rationalize that Dean gets in the news because the GOP wants him to win. They completely ignore that Dean creates news--he's first to do this, then next week he's the first to do that--and it goes on and on. The times when he's not the first to do something, his opponents put him in the news by creating drama where there should be none. And all it does is help Dean. Go figure.

11. Additionally...
If he's being pumped up by the Press, why are there so many seemingly "negative" articles available for posting here by supporters of other candidates?

13. If it's Dean v Bush, suddenly only Bush will be newsworthy...
...unless Dean makes news by sounding like he's jeopardizing national security, or turning off black voters, or unless it's to show that he did something that helped capital and hurd non-health care employees back in VT. Suddenly, that will be the only news you hear about.

He who lies down with the media whores will wake up with syphilis, rather than a vicotry on the day after election day next November.

16. AP, you gotta stop applying that psedo-logic so haphazardly.
What you are saying could apply to any successful candidate. It would backfire on you if folks believed you and your candidate started to win.

19. What I'm saying is...
...people here like to say, "no that's not media whoring" when something that obviously is media whoring works to their candidate's advantage.

There's a danger in treating it like it's legitimate journalism today when you KNOW that tomorrow you're going to have to be aruging that Inside Politics and all the rest have no legitimacy once they start whoring for Republicans (which is inevitable).

and seem to be crying 'wolf' all the time.

IMHO, a properly working media would NOT ignore Dean, considering what he's accomplished in the past few months. That's not saying that big media is working properly, it is saying that this can't be used as an example of how big media is ideologically biased or broken. And I do think that big media is ideologically biased towards corporatism (as I think you know from my previous posts on the subject).

17. good call
The media ae like life sucking leaches. They may be beneficial in sucking out your poision, but dont forget they are also sucking out your blood.

If Dean's not too careful the media watchdogs may end up a foe instead of friend.

23. It is so obvious.......
considering that the other Frontrunner gets no coverage...not even his name his mentioned, ever. He came in on top of Edwards by 7% in the new SC poll......but not a word.....can I say it? Wes Clark.

It's amazing to me all that the Press attention and the talking away of the Dean Flag flap by the mediawhores. If they wanted to they could have buried Dean with it....but they don't want to bury him....mmm....mmmm... Wonder why?

It's all being controlled by Queen Elizabeth II
you know what i'm talking about, don't look innocent,
we all know what's going on here...

My phone is being monitered, stop looking at me,

Oh yeah, we know what's going on...
