Lieberman piles on: He and Dean slam their rivals
GIVE THEM CREDIT. At least Howard Dean and Joe Lieberman are standing firm on the issues and not ducking and weaving like some of their counterparts. And now that Lieberman has joined Dean in attacking his fellow Democratic Presidential candidates who are trying to have it both ways on the big issues, the race has just become more interesting.

In a press conference on Monday, Lieberman let his rivals have it.

“By its actions, the Bush Administration threatens to give a just war a bad name. But by their words, some in my party are sending out a message that they don’t know a just war when they see it, and, more broadly, are not prepared to use our military strength to protect our security and the cause of freedom.

“We have watched some opponents of the war seize upon this emerging scandal with a disquieting zeal, as though it offers proof that they were right all along. The same is true of some who supported the war but now seem to have forgotten why.”

1. How did invading Iraq protect Americans, Lieberman?
Inquiring minds want to know.

2. Ducking and weaving?
I have never met anyone who was not Kerry supporter after seeing him speak live. Senator Kerry has not "ducked and weaved" on issues, he called for Bush to bring the troops home, defends his war vote, yet it comes out now that Bush and the CIA lied to him and the other Senators. Its the "privilage of the activist" as William Rivers Pitt puts it to question John Kerry's stance on the war considering the activist was not the one directly lied to by the director of the CIA; John Kerry was. He voted his heart out and he defends that to this day. This ducking and weaving came from desperate Howard Dean supporters, or as I call them "the armpit hair brigade", or "the bottom of the barrel of the Democratic Party" attempting to get anything to stick to such an Honorable war vet as John Kerry. Howard Dean thinks he can visit ONE marine camp and now he knows all there is about the military.

HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE SIZE OF THE U.S MILITARY!

3. Dean said that it was between 1 and 2 million
It was 1.4 million and decrementing due to the war.

Dean gave a good enougn answer and what does knowing the exact number of troops have to do with how I'd want to know how a presidential candidate would use them?

Kerry has proven by both his Iraq war votes, the 1991 and 2002 votes, that he has a serious logic flaw -- he doesn't base his decisions on the evidence on hand but on ideology or misinterpretations of political trends.

"good enough"

Thats about 600,000 OFF!!!

See there Dean goes again.

He can never answer the question and stay clear and consise and NOT attack his fellow Democrats.

He is shrill, annoying and he won't get past March Madness.

4. Huh? What kind of garbage is this?
Ducking and weaving? What the hell is this- another Dean informercial? A childish attempt to push people towards the DNCs conclusion that Dean is the only choice?

This is becoming a real turn-off. Let the debates begin instead of the media manipulation.

1. Btw, Kucinich is definitely not ducking and weaving. I'll just vouch for him here and now since I've been watching him like a hawk.

2. I haven't noticed Kerry ducking and weaving but I'll leave that one to the Kerry supporters who have been watching him like a hawk.

I am getting really turned off by these dishonest articles suddenly flooding the media. Let's talk issues.

Issues anybody?
