I still think the "Big Gun" has yet to show up and unite the party.

1. What part of "I AM NOT RUNNING" don't you understand?
Edited on Tue Nov-11-03 07:43 PM by Vote_Clark_In_WI
The idea of a Gore or Hillary run is constantly being put forth by the Repugs in order to maintain an element of doubt in Dem's minds - and to perpetuate the myth that we're all sitting here with our thumbs up our butts, waiting for someone 'better' to jump in. We have a couple of great, strong people running for the presidency, and we need to back them 100%. The sooner people get over the 'will she or won't she' question, the sooner we can move ON and unite to kick George's @ss.

:kick:

by the way, no self-respecting Muppet would be seen with that marionette... :+ :bounce:

3. Don't you mean with the exception of WES CLARK....
Clark will come on strong in February...following Dean Victories in Iowa and New Hampshire. But after those wins look out, Clark will win the heartland, in Arizona, Missouri, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Carolina, and Oklahoma. Delaware may go Dean or Kerry in Feb. (Just my prediction). Look for Edwards to drop out after South Carolina, and court Clark as V.P. running mate.(after the Rock the Vote comments, he won't be on Dean's short list). I believe that Clark will also win Tennesse and Virginia in Feb. as well. It's as clear as the writing on the wall that Clark and Dean are the front runners for the nomination, and the Bush Administration as well as the entire GOP are becoming very nervous about Wes Clark. Personally, if Clark doesn't get the nomination, I hope he and Dean can somehow end up on the ticket together, or vice-versa. However if comments I have read earlier, about Flag Burning Amendments, etc...keep coming up from Dean supporters I don't see how that would be possible. Flags seem to be burning both the Dean and Clark camps here recently...what a shame when we should all be working together to get rid of Bush.

9. Your Right
Flag burning is another Rethug hot button issue like gun control. Very dumb to start fighting over this issue.

5. I honestly believe that Clark is the man
I waited a while as I truly think DKucinich is great. I had to accept reality about his electibility, however. When you consider where Clark is in the polls now, and when he entered, I believe he will eventually overtake the Dean machine. I will support Dean if he wins the nomination, but he will have Clark to contend with. What's the quote? "I am a contender".

Interesting that all they can come up with to pug him is Shelton and Swartzkoph (sp.?). I knew they would come out swinging, but so far, I think it's incredible that this is the extent of their mudslinging (oh, I forgot, he was guilty of putting an end to that great man, Milosevich! So far, the dems have done more damage to him than the pugs. I guess they are just sitting back and letting us destroy what I consider to be our best chance of beating *.

7. Gore/Clark
would cover a lot of bases (domestic/military experience, insider/outsider) and with Clark on the ticket, I doubt Gore would get fewer votes this time than last. Rematch!

10. No
I think they are trying as much as possible to stay relevant with the whole country. I believe Gore feels his role is to frame debates.

12. No
Gore had his chance and got out of the race. Hillary promised her state she would not run and she will keep that promise.

15. I hope not
I think any one of four candiates have a good shot at taking down W in 2004 (Clark, Edwards, Dean or Kerry). A late entry by Gore or Hillary would do more damage--it would be seen as a sign of desperation by the Dems.

16. Maybe so, but ..
.. with all due respect, this may be a "desperate times calls for desperate measures" move. None of the nine have gotten my vote yet. So far the mantra is "I'm not Bush", or "won't be Bush lite". Where's the innovative ideas? BTW, I'm a newbie too. This DU is kinda cool
B-)

18. Visit their web sites
Clean sustainable, renewable, energy to get us off of fossil fuels and foreign oils.

A variety of terrific health care plans and assistance for college.

New citizen service plans.

Clark has a 100 year vision. Kerry is committed to a new era of international relations. Edwards is talking about valuing work instead of wealth.

We've got some spectacular candidates who will run circles around Bush next year!
