Which Senator Is Most Out of Touch With Their State???
My vote goes to right wing Rickie Santorum of Pennsylvania. Honorable mention goes to Norm Coleman of Minnesota.

3. Does that mean he's out of touch with Georgia?
Seems he fits right along with Sonny Perdue and Saxby Chambliss.

2. Santorum?
Oh come now. I'm sure a majority of Penn residents are constantly thinking about man on dog sex. Who doesn't?

9. Wrong
PA voted for Gore by a decent margin and are not all hillbillies (while I won't deny we have them!).

But Santorum is so wacko right wing that I doubt he will be re-elected here. Hopefully Spector gets booted as well.

4. I'm sad and I laugh every time I hear Coleman's
East coast accent...and long to hear that Scandinavian-influenced accent that is truly Minnesotan.

5. Has to be
Elizabeth Dole - hasn't lived in NC since she was in her 20s.

Most here refer to her as "Bag O' Hairspray" or "Mrs. Carpetbagger"

You never here ANY news about her now that she is in office.

he was elected to represent the land of Lincoln, but he votes like he is representing Jeff Davis. No wonder he's retiring!

14. Zell Miller...going right, when he should be going back to his roots
In the coming election, the south, if the economy dosen't imporve is going to move swiftly to the left, and Miller is going to be left holding the republican bag.

16. Norm Coleman, Peter Fitzgerald, Rick Santorum
Norm Coleman is a flip flopper who sold himself as a moderate to minnesotans in the general election only to make a hard right turn when he joined the Senate. He'll get what's coming to him in 2008.

Peter Fitzgerald took advantage of the unpopularity of Carol Mosely-Braun to buy himself a Senate Seat. He's far too conservative for the Democratic trending Illinois, and knowing that he cannot win in 2004, has stepped down as Senator. Good riddance.

Rick Santorum's religious bigotry doesn't fit in with Pennsylvania's moderate politics. He's far too right for a state that's elected liberal Republicans and moderate Democrats to the Senate and he deserves to lose in 2006.
