11. Kuchinich was on NPR this morning too |

Awesome interview - and then they talked to the Editor of the Cleveland Daily (not sure its title) and he gave some good background info.
Kucinich may not be in the lead, but I will give him the most interesting award. Complete comeback from political death, balls-to-the wall attitude. We need more in the party like him! And this is from a Dean/Clark supporter!

I cant believe you missed it!
He nailed the whole thing. Crushed bush as a fool for ever even considering using turkish troops in Iraq cause everyone knows that there is bad blood between the turks and the kurds,
said alquada was in Iraq now because of george bush when they werent there before. Wolf tried to say they were there before and brought out an example of anslar-islam(spelling probably way off) and the guy suposededly at the meetings in baghdad. Dean came back with the fact that theres no credible evidence of the meetings and that anslar-islam(or whatever) was based in the north on the boarder of Iran fighting Iran
In the second half he Said he thought quite a few of the dem contenders would make good Vp's and specifically said clark would make a good one. But also said it would be presumtous of him to start choosing Vp's before even one person cast a vote. Also said the goal was getting bush out and he would vigorusly siport whoever got the nod
Bush is the most damaging president to our security that he has ever seen !
He also adressed the flag thing said he would have used a different symbol if he had it to do all over again but that he didnt intend to stop talking about the fact that we need to bring the white guys in the south back to voting democrat.
He afressed campaign finance and laif out the exact system he would suport.
man i cant remember all or even half of it. I hope they put the video up on his site cause that interview rocked!
Go Howard!

I'm sure they'll have it up on DeanTV or DeanNation soon.
DoveTurnedHawk has posted in GD about what a great interview it is… and if he's saying that, I'm sure it must've been fantastic.

This is why Governors win the Presidency much more easily than Senators. They don't have a federal record to defend or trip them up, they can point to what they accomplished in "their" state and they can be Outsiders, whereas no one in Washington can really say that. So it doesn't matter how big the state is.
Only 2 sitting Senators have ever been elected to the Presidency in the whole history of the country.
Dean has it wrapped it looks like.
Said he made a mistake using the flag but he's not backing down and going to campaign for the southern white vote on economic grounds.
He was great tonight but even better this afternoon when he said: "The Republicans use race to divide us. Well, we're one America! And we're not going to let the Republicans divide us any more by race, or divide us by whether or not we support unions, or divide us by gender, or divide us by sexual orientation! We are one America!"
I was whooping it up! This man is going to turn on America like a light bulb. I think within a couple of weeks he could go from 4 points down against Bush (Newsweek Poll 49-45) to a statistical dead heat!
When did McGovern ever do that against Nixon a year before the 1972 election?
MAN O MAN!

1. Too critical of Clark. Wasn't bad, but may be if he needs a VP.
2. On flag issue, forgot to mention how as of now, they vote for economically diadvantageous representatives, due to republican wedge issues. Thats key to that issue.
3. Sorta had a negative tone on the other canidates. Started with the iraq war resolution. Now I know its neccessary for him to discern himself, but Im not sure how attacks are coming off at this stage in campaign. Not working for his contenders.
All in all one of the best interviews IVe seen any of the democratic candidates in. Nailed almost the entire thing right on point.

It was a light slap at clark I wish he hadnt said anything on clark bur it wasnt very harsh and he followed it up by being very enthusiastic about clark in a vp slot . So a light slap followed by a light endorsement. But I would rather he didnt piss the clark people off at all as we will need them.
ahhh well It was an awsome interview and he gave bush hell all the way through!
Heh i was worried when wolf warned in a teaser that what he said about bush wasnt prety but I thought it was beutiful.

Interesting because I didn't see any of that. The only halfway negative thing he said about Clark is that Clark needs to clarify his position on the IWR, HOWEVER, he also said Clark was brilliant and has an excellent resume -- funny how you missed that part. Wolf also tried to bait him into trashing the other Dem. candidates and he wouldn't play. Additionally, and most importantly, he stated very adamently that he would vigorously support whoever gets the nomination. What other candidate has said that?
As for the flag issue, he said had he to do it over again, he wouldn't have used such a divisive symbol but the core issue remains and that he has no intention on giving up on the South.
I suppose it's all a matter of perception but I didn't at all see the negativity you saw.

Did anyone notice that Wolf seemed to treat Dean a bit differently than in the past?
The interview was excellent.
