ROCKWELL CITY, Iowa - Little children and big media are status quo on the John Edwards campaign bus.

Between stops in rural Iowa Sunday, TV cameras jostled and reporters from Washington and New York grilled North Carolina's senior senator about Iraq and Medicare.

Edwards, meanwhile, munched on Doritos and queso dip, answering them while his children played around him.

On a campaign where image and ability to connect with the "everyman" voter are key, Edwards' wife and children appear to add levity and humanity to the candidate and his campaign.
