Or maybe what I mean to say is that MORE dems were more right than I thought. Honestly, I didn't expect to see Carol or Bob where they placed them.

I will say that when I took the test for myself I landed where I expected, which was even further left of Dennis. (But I still love the guy. :^) )

2. Remember, this is by European standards, not U.S.
If you click on the UK link, their far-right is "neo-Liberalism."

4. Several of us in my office took the accompanying test
and we all came out farther to the left and down than expected. I was 8+ and 7+ on the econ and liberty scales. Seems the test is slanted one way, while the suppositions on the candidates is slanted the opposite way. (Except for Bush, who should be off the charts to the upper right.)

5. This is by British standards which means
By god I am even a radical in England. Christ life is good. I get like negative 7-8's on both economic and social.

6. My numbers are
Economic Left/Right: -8.88
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -4.41

The bottom number is lower because I believe in a certain amount of gov't regulation.

7. I love this test....
I took it a few months ago and these were my numbers:

Economic Left/Right: -3.00
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.44

An eye opener indeed. (Keep in mind I used to be a Republican.)

9. this is a flawed way to think about candidates
Makes it very easy, however. "I'm a leftist, so I'm going to pick the most leftist candidate."

11. Well, you would still
have to determine whether you are upper or lower quadrant left, and the same for the candidate.
