Kerry Criticizes Bush in Drug Company Ad
Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry criticizes President Bush and accuses him of siding with pharmaceutical and insurance companies in a new television ad that began airing Thursday in New Hampshire.

"George Bush believes that what's good for the drug companies and insurance industries is good for America, and he's wrong," the Massachusetts senator tells a group of people in the ad.

The new ad includes images of pill bottles and a doctor attending to a patient. In the spot, Kerry also touts his plan for ensuring Americans have affordable health care, saying he can challenge the drug companies to lower prescription prices and insurance companies to lower their coverage costs.

"His plan gives everyone access to the same health coverage as members of Congress," an announcer says.

On Monday, Kerry launched a new ad in Iowa, accusing Bush of trying to roll back the Clean Air Act and letting corporate lobbyists rewrite the nation's environmental laws. He then highlighted his plan for making the United States energy independent.
