email from Bush campaign manager
Just as a heads up. Seems he's sticking with "uniter, not divider." Good luck with that.

Campaign Manager Ken Mehlman Outlines President Bush's Leadership in Uniting America to Confront the Challenges of Our Time

Bush-Cheney '04 Campaign Manager, Ken Mehlman, delivered remarks to Republican Governors at their annual conference today. Below are some excerpts from this important speech.

"As a candidate for President, Governor Bush would often remark, 'Now is the time to do the hard things.' But who could have imagined the tests he would face ...

"President George W. Bush responded to each of these challenges by answering history's calling. Not only did he lead to confront these tests. He united Americans to overcome these challenges and proposed solutions that would transform crises into new opportunities ...

"These last three years have changed our world and our country. But they haven't changed our president. He is just as certain today as he was in 2000 of the principles that make America work ... and that make the world safe--freedom, opportunity, security. He's doing his part. Now we get to do ours. It's up to all of us to ensure that this good man remains in office to pursue these great principles.

"Eleven months from now, we will make a choice.

"Eleven months from now we will choose between victory in Iraq or insecurity in America.

"Eleven months from now we will choose between more money in the pockets of families or more money in the coffers of the government.

"And eleven months from now we will choose between a leader of principle or a politician of protest, pandering and pessimism. The choice is ours. But the legacy will belong to our children. What kind of world will we leave them? What kind of America will they inherit? Under President Bush's leadership, they will find the world a much better place, and a much stronger nation."

1. oh yeah
"These last three years have changed our world and our country. But they haven't changed our president. He is just as certain today as he was in 2000 of the principles that make America work"

Read: He's still delusional despite the fact that America is under attack , he's still great friends with the Saudis, and he still has no idea how to run a business, much less an economy.

2. I wonder if Condi's views on hijackings have changed
Is she now just as incredulous that hijacked planes could be used as weapons as she was in 2001?

4. LOL - "a politician of protest, pandering and pessimism"
Some schmuck is certainly patting himself on the back for coming up with that one.

But it's a brief laugh... the rest of the deception in this e-mail truly pisses me off. False choices: "victory in Iraq / insecurity in America" etc. etc. :grr:

5. What hasn't changed?
Bush is a facilitator, not a uniter.

While we're distracted with his deplorable image as a leader...while millions of people all over the world are focused on his imbecility in the public eye...his string pullers are at work.

What has changed is that the people who matter plunge ahead to launch every greedy deal they can manage in the next year in the event that the vote counting gets straightened out and the right wing supreme court feels they can't repeat their 2000 theft, and the military-industrial complex feels they can't pull off another 9-11.

7. Clark is the answer
to the Repukes campaign strategy. They are so confident that he won't get the nomination, there strategy will work well against Dean but no means an automatic win. IMHO if this is their strategy Clark could beat * in a landslide. We need to keep an eye on who is promoting Dean, the media is propelling him along, why? I am not trying to slam Dean, but Clark stands a much better chance against this GOP strategy and as much as I have chosen to support Clark my first goal is and was ABB

9. Is there a link for this little gem....
or is a "heads up" for what may be coming?

I could take this apart word for word and out it on every dem link there is, if there were a way to prove this came from the bush camp.

Unbelievable tripe....for the worst president this nation has ever had, and most likely ever will have!

I always like when they have a "contact us".

I never expect them to really read and take into account what I say, but it makes me feel better!.
