If you're still wondering who would be the strongest candidate ... |
|
..vs. Bush, ask yourself this: Is there anyone who voted for Gore in 2000 who would not vote for him again in 2004? Probably not, right? And is there anyone who voted for Bush in 2000 who might not vote for him again in 2004? Maybe a couple dozen or more, right? I was no fan of Gore, and voted for Nader (with impunity, since I live in Massachusetts, which was a lock all along), but now, having taken a good look at Dean et al, I have come to believe that Mr. Alpha Male is the only one who can win next year, and the country is truly headed down the crapper if he doesn't announce soon.

1. What state(s) would we carry with Gore, but lose without him? |
|
Don't get me wrong, I think Gore should be our nominee without pause. He is the one.
But I gave up on the hope that he would run when he gave that recent Move-On speech, and did not even hint, as far as I could tell, at wanting to join the race. On the other hand, he still hasn't endorsed a candidate, and the element of surprise might be a tool we need.
If we can make it Gore, we should, he is our rightful President, according to the people. If we can't, the world doesn't end, and neither do our chances of winning.

We cannot sit back and wait for someone to swoop in and save our party and our country. We have to get off our backsides and do it ourselves.

I have to say we need to get real. Gore isn't running. He isn't being Hamlet in Nashville he is not running. He might well have been our best candidate but he isn't running.

6. Just about any of our candidates can kick this AWOL, short-selling |

lying fraud back to his pig farm. You are correct, Dems will vote 100% again for candidate, the 3rd party people will probably not waste their vote this time. Independents will move to the Democratic column....and there will be less Republicans (but more vocal) pulling the lever for George. I think many may just not bother to vote.
The only variable is election integrity.
