Joe Lieberman is a putz.

Putz - n. (Yiddish for penis); 1. a fool 2. a stupid person.

He is by far the most annoying candidate. He is shrill, sanctimonious, self-righteous, and just generally full of shit. I can't wait for him to drop out.....

3. I don't agree with Joe. But he's not the worst candidate.
He's excellent on a number of issues, such as the environment, civil rights (not involving Arabs) and labor issues.

5. That's odd.
Moderator's seldom lock posts because of flame-y comments down in the thread. They're almost always locked in GD for violating one of the 5 rules for posting. If that's what happened, it's a first.

6. Flames
as I understand the term, are directed at posters, not candidates. If a poster could not call a candidate a putz, then DU would not be Democratic, large D or small d.

Unless the post had broken out into a hopeless flame war, I seriously doubt the moderators locked it for someone flaming a candidate. :)
