1. She can't afford it
All due respect, but billionaires (even richer than Rush) are out of touch, even Oprah.

3. But the million billion people who watch her show do.
They would give Oprah some cash. $50 times 5,000,000??

6. she could easily finance her own campaign
But I wouldn't vote for her. Unless she was the Democratic nominee, of course.

I should have said, she wouldn't take the pay cut.

2. Not after
the platform she gave Ah-nuld, and the way she handled the chimp with kid gloves before election 2000. I think she's pretty right wing.

4. How about no!
And Mr. Moore would support a right-winger? Hmmm... NO.

5. The Arnold thing...
was only because of Oprah's long term friendship with Maria. While irritating, I don't think that is indicative of her views. Her soft hits with Bush* similarly.... I think she had GOre on and was trying to be fair with him, even overly so.

Oprah's a power hitter now and others are right to be concerned how well she can really relate to the populace. On the other hand, she has lived her life trying to help others and that is clearly a Democratic value, not a Repug. I think Oprah is still a staunch Democrat working in a world where one can't stub too many toes to keep afloat.

7. She's a Dem for sure, but I wouldn't vote for her
Ah-nuld was bad enough, but she devoted a whole show to Paris and Nicki Hilton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. Give her a brake!
She has been on air for about 10 years in the most Conservative demographic on TV. Just imagine how many Conservative house wives she could convert to the light?

13. In a way, she has more influence than many politicians
But that doesn't mean she should run.

I admit I didn't read Moore's article, though. I'm mad at him and feeling petty about it. :P
