KY-6: Ky. Attorney General [Ben Chandler (D)] to Run for Congress

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- State Attorney General Ben Chandler, who lost in the governor's race last month, will run for the congressional seat vacated by Gov. Ernie Fletcher, The Associated Press has learned.

Chandler scheduled a news conference for Thursday. Two sources close to his campaign but speaking on condition of anonymity told the AP that Chandler had decided to seek the Democratic nomination for a special election Fletcher plans to schedule for Feb. 17.

It would be sweet. I'm just sorry I don't live in the 6th district anymore, because of redistricting.:shrug:
