is there a term for peopLe/journaLists inserting a swipe |
|
unreLated to the story? such as, in a sports story throwing in a quick Line "foLLowing in the crooked steps of aL gore" or in a story supposedLy criticaL of bush's poLicy throwing in an offhand comment about "cLinton being the worst president ever"
do they teach one to do this in journaLism? i know peopLe who do this everyday - throw a snarky comment into a conversation which had no reLation to the target.
this tactic perpetuates the "big Lies" - and what if i/you caLL them on it? since it's not the topic of the conversation do i/we Look petty?
in discussion of heinz's teLLing the reporter to "shove it" one of the cnuts had this to say in response to peopLe defending terry for standing up to the goon.
"I see you adopt the Theresa Heinz definition of "civility." Figures. Amazing how words can be raped, in the best of the clinton legacy, and all good dems stand by and cheer. Reminds me of Genevieve."
he had to get in an aLLusion to cLinton as a rapist.

to go fuck himself, in keeping with the VP's (I felt good about saying it) retort.
