Dan Rather calls Convention "Dullsville"
"Now it’s official: This convention really is duller than those the parties held four years ago. Inside the hall, it’s scripted down to the nanosecond. Outside the hall, security is battened down tighter than the lug nuts on a ’55 Ford."

Is it just me or does Rather look ill lately? He appears bloated. Looks like he's put on about 20 pounds.

6. And it took the dumb shit this long to do it.
Must be Repug-lite if he had to work this long to make that much money. I guess he didn't have the guts to steal it like the rest of them. Maybe that'll change, too.

4. Higher expectations for dirty tactics
and it's turning into a more refined atmosphere than he had baited himself for.

5. Dan, where were you last night? You should have been there.
But your pimp bosses decided not to even give an hour to last night. So blow it out your ass.

7. all in all, Dan has a point..

..but only because the Dems are serious this time. Sorry, Dan.

There is realy not much to look at other than the key speakers. The point is rather, the low amount of network coverage is the issue, not that its boring.

8. I agree...
like I have posted before, the whole thing is scripted and aimed at the key states in tone.

BTW, I think Dan Rather is retiring after the elections.

9. Guess what Rather.... it's called DEMOCRACY
Giving lots of different people the opportunity to speak their minds, to rally their constituents... To address a variety of different concerns and issues... it takes time, people need to listen and think for themselves.

Maybe it's not as exciting as watching a bunch of dumb people in skimpy outfits try and backstab each other off the island, but it's important, and the so called "media" should be covering it instead of writing it off as "boring."

That attitude just makes me think how fundamentally LAZY journalists in our country have become. If it's not exploding into pieces, or doesn't involve somebody's breasts being exposed in public, they don't want to do the work.

Rargh.
