Media vs. Rove vs. Tenet
Edited on Sat Jul-12-03 11:16 AM by Homer12
Some one mentioned that Rove intentionaly leaked the apology of the fasle-document use first as part of a strategy.

This tactic however was a gamble and part of a set-up, much like many things this administration does with anything.

I agree, on a simple level this admission of guilt first before being blamed openly, should make them look better, but it really does not. The "Pass-the-buck" strategy is not working like they would like it by scapegoating Tenet, becuase Tenet just apologized for exactly what Rice said that he did not take it out/But he did not put this known forgery in the SOTU address to begin with in the first place, thus admonishing and diverting at least half of the responsability off the CIA.

The Media can pick up on this pretty easily. 100% fault, no matter what, can be placed on Tenet, but nor can 100% fault can be placed(?) on the Bush Corporation.

So Both of them, CIA and Administration both get the blame no matter what (even if one was less to blame than the other, personal responsability my white ass!) But, Tenet has shown personal responsability by admiting his failure also Publicly and not leaked quitly like the Bush administration (which is more honorable, hiding and being protected like GW or coming out and testifying).

The Media smells this also; it has all the making of a cover-up also on both the CIA and the, , "bring back the honor and integrity an honesty in the White House" Bush administration. It's a great story people like to see the arrogant and the self-rightoues screw up;
How can you put 100% blame on the CIA when the ADministration knew as long as they did it was forged?

You'd have to be a brainless idiot or a brainwashed freeper!!!

I have a feeling the Tenet is and was prepared for it, and in some sense I beleive that he knew that this set-up was on the way. The adminstration and it's political and media whores have already come out saying that Tenet set them up (hard to set some one up when they already new documents where false), maybe he did set them up (thanks if you did).
When he goes to testify next week to be used as the sacrafical-blame-clinton-goat, he will not only indicet himself but the administration as well. He was prepared to go down and take Bushco facade (that of honor and integreity) with him.

It's kind of like how Savage screwed himself over, he took the bait to verbaly abuse and wish death on those he hated publicly; More americans saw his true hate-filled self. We will see a White house and administration were the ends-justify-the-means (they point this out all the time about the rotating Iraq justifications without WMD's).
The Administration with it's lust for gold, knowinly took the fools-gold instead and sold it. Once the masses and media really found out (we already knew) that it was iron pyrite on not gold that they bought, the feeling of being duped and conned is not far behined.

In the end, the seeds of distrust have been now been sown for the majority of over-worked and increasingly un-employed Americans.

Sure most people exepect politicans to lie, but to knowingly manipulate the public, and the major media (this is key), with false information to start a war.......

2. someone invoked the memory of watergate
in the sense that one by one they're going to throw people overboard. The dicks never realize that when you start to eat your own there is only one outcome.
