Bizarre media story on imdb.com |
|
Now keep in mind imdb.com is based in the UK, this story just seems odd.
"Viewers Demand More "Patriotic" Coverage
A substantial segment -- 46 percent -- of the American public believes that the news media are becoming too critical of America and that such criticism is weakening national defense, according to findings by a Pew Research Center poll. The vast majority of those surveyed -- 70 percent -- also believes that the media ought to take a more pro-American stand in its reporting of the U.S. actions in Iraq and the war on terrorism. The Pew survey further found that those who are the most critical of the media are likely to be devotees of the Fox News Channel. "
Now I checked on the Pew Research Center, and they seem as right wingish as you'd expect, but the mind boggles at the thought that the people who think coverage should be more patriotic are devotees of Fox News.
As Jon Stewart would say, "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa?"
How the holy testicles could Fox News be more patriotic? Do they want Bill O' Reilly wearing nothing but a flag while he's spanking Hannity's naked ass to the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic?

those people bitching about wanting more "patriotic" stories are complaining about the rest of the eeeeeevil leebrul media, not Fox. That's been my experience with fools like that, anyway.
