STOP WATCHING THESE FREAKING CABLE CHANNELS!
Edited on Mon Dec-27-04 09:48 PM by indianablue
I never watch FOX, MSNBC only if they have one of their true crime stories on, CNN if I want to see some footage from something.

Other than that I turn them completely off.

FOX should never be turned on not for one second.

I do not care what they have to say.
I do not care who their guests are, even if it is someone I like.

FOX needs to be flushed down the toilet along with the rest of the so called 'News'

2. Yes, yes...I have never listen to faux news....the only thing I watch
on faux is Peoples court...The same with the rest of the cable news ...Television has gotten soooo bad that I hardly watch much anymore. I find reading and listening to books on tape better than tv.

3. the voice of sanity speaks.
but, like cassandra, who will listen?

i agree with you, by the way. everything on those channels is a waste of time. the sooner they are ignored into extinction the better the world will be.

4. If I am somewhere where Fox is on...I get annoyed.
It is everywhere so when I am in my own home that crap is deleted off my cable lineup.

5. I pay for cable modem internet instead of cable
TV is a junkyard of stupid programming - except for the History Channel, Discovery and the like, but I'm not paying $30 a month for 2 or 3 channels -sigh-

6. I do not like them with a Fox ...
I do not like them in a box.
I do not like them Sam-I-Am.

I don't know. I think MSNBC is pretty good.

I like Tim Russert > http://www.freesqueeze.com/timrussert.htm

I will agree that Fox is a joke.

Here's a puzzler for you. We are always hearing from the GOP partisans that all the TV news sources (except Fox) are Liberal enclaves that only the most liberal person would watch. But if you compare the numbers for FoxNews with the combined numbers for all those 'liberal' channels ... it is clear (as mud) that liberals account for more that 90% of Americans.

Even as a devout liberal, I know that's bunk.

There's a major flaw in that claim. But I guess if they just keep repeating it enough ....

10. I do not like them with a box and I catch my husband watching it...
and I yell at him. I'd told all about the monster thug Blackwell and he was like, "Oh my God that guy is a dangerous nut!" Then the guy watches him on Fox and tells me, "But he seemed like a very nice man". Duh! It's called lying. Some people are so used to lying they have themselves convinced. People don't know how easy it is to buy one line of their bull and then it just seeps in your head all over again. You think they are making sense and you start to agree with them.

7. For masochists only
I mostly stopped watching after Selection '00. After a break for 9/11 I tuned out again with the all-anthrax, all-the-time coverage. I watched some during the Democratic primaries but watched very little during the general campaign.

I never turned the TV on Election night except for Daily Show. Hasn't been on a cable news channel since. I also do not go to CNN.COM, etc. Not even Google News.

Who needs it? I read the morning paper and keep up-to-date with DU LBN.

Oh yes. I'm FINALLY cancelling Newsweek. The whoring has become too much. I might give The Economist a try.

11. I had a great idea for people who subscribe to Newsweek...
after that disgusting piece on Kerry this week. If I subscribed I'd take an issue an mail it back to them with a big red line running through the cover diagonally.

8. I dumped cable tv news on 11/3/04 and I haven't looked back
I was a total junkie and I thought I would go through withdrawls. No chance. I haven't missed it one bit. Why would I want to invite Tom DeLay into my living room?

12. As much as I despise their bias...
Fox News does make for wonderful entertainment. I can't help but laugh when O'Reilly gets in a shouting match with liberals.
